Musical diversity in Proving Grounds will be provided by the talents of Martin Britz, Psion and Verran, all of whom have written or are finalizing a track for each of the maps we have so far for PG. Martin's "Isolation" track is complete (click the link) and will be giving you a cold chill when you play Ray Luna's "Icebreaker" map, which is also coming together nicely.
We're also almost ready to show you guys the HUD for Proving Grounds! Some fine-tuning is required before we call it finished.
All the while, ½Hawk's hideous conversion experiment from D2 fan-favourite map "Neptune", which you could see in our first screencast, is still set for an eventual release after PG comes out. Or, if he manages to finish this bitch of a map, maybe it won't be that long after all.
See, the good thing about needing more time to make stuff is that other people can join and give more content to our game while we finalize things. We started with one map only, now it's almost three ready to go. I personally CANNOT WAIT to finally get the game out to you guys and girls and see what y'all think. Some time will still have to pass before the Eclipse is modelled, textured and animated, but we've got three people working on that in total, while I'm about to wrap up the HUD and then put the final feature in you couldn't live without, which is joystick input and customizable controls.
